Shipping Information


Your order will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail or First Class Mail.

Orders received during the week will normally ship within 36 hours. The US Postal Service does a great job, delivering most HomePhoneWiring.com shipments by Priority Mail in under three days.  Orders received after the Friday mail run and on the weekend will normally ship on the following Monday.  Keep in mind that many (most?) internet vendors are actually closed during the weekend and simply don't point out that your order won't ship on Saturday or Sunday.  You will be advised by email if your order will not be shipped by the next weekday.  Most orders will ship via Priority Mail and should arrive at most location approximately two to five days after shipment.  Orders with a shipping weight under 13 ounces may be shipped by First Class Mail and should arrive at most locations approximately two to seven days after shipment.  Holidays and other factors could delay your order either prior to shipment or enroute.  Please allow sufficient time for your order to arrive prior to your wiring project.

Weekends

Please note: As in many small towns, the post office here is closed from Friday afternoon until Monday morning and on all Federal Holidays.  Orders received after the Friday mail run and on the weekend will not normally ship until the following Monday.

If you are placing an order on Friday afternoon, Saturday, Sunday, a Federal Holiday, or any day followed by a Federal Holiday, please accept that your order will probably not be shipped until the next day the local post office is open.

A Comment About Shipping Charges

Many vendors claim to offer "free shipping".  We all know that shipping is not really free.  USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL each have annual revenues in the billions.  "Free shipping" really just means that prices have been set high enough to ensure that the predicted cost of shipping is always covered and the vendor happily keeps a little extra if the actual shipping cost is less than predicted.

Instead of inflating prices and telling you that we offer "free shipping", prices on HomePhoneWiring.com are set as low as practical while allowing us a reasonable profit and shipping charges are calculated by the shopping cart based on actual USPS rates.  We think lower prices and lower total cost is a better deal than "free shipping".  Hope you agree!

Important note about your billing and shipping address:
Part of the payment acceptance process is address verification.  If the billing address or shipping address have not been registered as valid addresses for the account, they will probably be reported as "unverified".  If you have any doubt about whether your addresses will be verified as authorized for your account, please provide your home phone and business phone in the phone number or comment fields provided during checkout.  Cell phone numbers may help us contact you, but we will not normally use a cell phone number as the sole means of contacting you to validate an address.  If you provide a cell phone number, please also provide at least one verifiable ("listed") land-line home or business phone number.  Your address and contact information will only be used to validate and ship your order.  We value your privacy and will not provide your address and contact information to any third party (unless required by a court order, which seem extremely unlikely).  Any additional information you wish to provide in the comments field during check-out or by sending an email to HPWSupport at HomePhoneWiring.com that will help us validate the addresses for your order will be appreciated and may help expedite your order.  If you request billing or shipping to an address that is unverified and we are not able to easily validate your addresses, your order will be delayed while we attempt to contact you.  For your protection and ours, we will not bill or ship to an address that we can't validate with a significant degree of certainty, which could lead to an order being canceled.  Not all vendors are so strict about address validation, but we find that most of our customers prefer and appreciate this policy.

Your order will generate three emails.
The payment processing system will automatically send an email acknowledging your order once payment is completed.  HPWSupport at HomePhoneWiring.com will send an email acknowledging your order when it is received and processed for shipment.  You will be sent a third email providing tracking information for your shipment, sometime after the shipping label is generated.  If you do not receive the first two emails within 48 hours, there is probably either a problem with your order or something is blocking these non-spam emails.  Please send an email to HPWSupport at HomePhoneWiring.com to enquire about the status of your order, providing a phone number in case emails sent to you are being blocked.

Return & Refund Policy

Requests for refunds must be received within 15 days after you receive your order.
A refund will be issued for unused items returned undamaged.
Refunds will be reduced by a restock fee of fifteen percent to cover fees and expenses for processing your order and return.
Shipping charges are not refunded.

No refund will be issued for items returned damaged.  The items offered for sale are extremely durable and are well packed for shipment, so it is very unlikely that you will receive damaged items.  In the rare case when items are damaged in shipment, they may be returned for replacement.  No refund will be issued for replacement goods.

Products that have been removed from original sealed packaging or have installation tool marks are considered used.  No refund will be issued for these items.

Printouts damaged in shipment will be replaced, but no refunds will be issued for printouts.

Prior to returning an item for refund, send an email to HPWSupport at HomePhoneWiring.com,  requesting a returnauthorization (RMA) number, indicating the item being returned and the reason for return.  Emails should be addressed to hpwsupport(remove-this)@(spam-stop)homephonewiring.com.  Sorry, you'll need to edit the email address to remove "(remove-this)" and "(spam-stop)".  The volume of email the spam bots generate to a web posted address without this measure is outrageous.  The RMA number will be sent back to you by email.  Please clearly mark the RMA number on the outside of the package.  No refund will be issued for items returned without an RMA number or not received within 15 days of the date an RMA number is issued.

You are responsible for all return shipping charges.  Return shipment should be sent to CEWIM LLC, PO BOX 282, BLANCO, TX 78606.  It is recommended that you use Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation, to ensure return delivery time is less than 15 days and to permit delivery tracking.  You are responsible for damage or loss of goods during return shipment.  You may desire to insure your shipment to protect yourself against loss in the postal system.  If you return the item without paying full shipping charges, your refund will be further reduced by any charges that must be paid for receiving the return shipment.  After you mail the return shipment, please send an email with the Delivery Confirmation tracking number to HPWSupport at HomePhoneWiring.com advisingthat the shipment is enroute.  A refund will only be issued when the return shipment is actually received and the items have been inspected.

After the returned item has been inspected and verified as unused and undamaged, your refund will be issued to the account used to place the order.  If for some reason it is not be possible to issue the refund to the account used to place the order, the refund will be issued by check, payable to the same name used to place the order and sent to the same address as the order.

The best way to contact HPWSupport at HomePhoneWiring.com isby email.  However, if you don't have access to your email account, you can leave a voicemail by calling 830.308.8224 (our "eVoice" voicemail number).  Be assured that we will respond to your message.  We don't post a phone number that rings us direct because of the fear it would generate so many calls asking for free advice with wiring projects that we might not be able to respond appropriately to paying customers or accomplish anything else.  (We can cope with advice requests by email because we can respond when time allows, but we couldn't respond to a constant stream of phone calls from people calling to seek advice rather than taking time to read the info on the site.) When you give us your phone number, either by email or in a voicemail, it will only be available to us - nobody else will get your phone number from us.

Minimum Order

Experience indicates small orders often require more time and effort to process than larger orders.   An order for only a few small items simply doesn't even cover the cost of processing and packaging the order.

The minimum order is $15, plus shipping.  If ordering small items, you should ensure that select items totaling at least $15 before proceeding to check-out.

The shopping cart can't enforce the $15 minimum.  If your order total is under $15 when you get to the check-out page, you need to go back and add more items to your order so that it can be accepted.  Otherwise your order may be rejected whenreceived (in which case full payment is refunded).

Special Orders
A lot of special communications materials and tools used by professionals are not readily available to the general public.  You might not be able to locate such a specialty item in a local store or via a web vendor and really need it to complete your wiring project.  It is not practical for us to offer thousands of unique items on this web site, however, we can offer you almost any item used in the telephone industry as a special order item.  If you need something that is not listed here, send an email to HPWSupport at HomePhoneWiring.com, describing your requirement.  Include your ZIP code so that we can determine the shipping charges accurately.  We will identify a device that should meet you needs, set up a special order item, and send you an email with instruction on how you can order the item.

At this time we are only accepting order for shipment to US addresses.  


We had accepted orders for shipment to Canada in the past, but the complications of customs and international shippingunfortunately proved too cumbersome and we decided to discontinue any shipments outside the US.
